new '06 Monte Carlo owner

Hi, I'm new to your forum and a new Monte Carlo owner. I just bought an '06 Monte Carlo LTZ with 36K miles. I'm the second owner. No pics yet, but will get some posted soon. I just installed a new radio so I can have hands free calling, and will add a backup camera soon. I overall really like the car, but am a little dismayed about the lack of distance to use the remote. I look forward to gleaning some knowledge from your experiences!

Welcome! Pretty low miles, hopefully it doesn't have any of the common rust issues. At that mileage it shouldn't, as long as it was garaged. Is the remote battery new or you don't know?

No rust issues at all. A southern Oregon car. Was a grandma’s car; she bought it at 80 yrs old! The battery in the remote is new. Guess from what I’m hearing that I’ll pretty much have to live with it...
