Updated w/pics- Monte Carlo new member - Tony Stewart 288/1020
Hello everyone,
just signed up after looking for a good forum for my recent acquisition of a 2005 Monte Carlo SS SC, Tony Stewart edition, with just over 6000 - yes, 6000 miles on it. My monte carlo is 288/1020. My immediate my goals are to mod the engine, mod the audio. So far I just have a cold air inductions CAI on the way, and plans to make some more modest changes. I don't have a garage and this MA weather is just too darn cold to work out in for long. I will just likely accumulate parts and knowledge for a couple of working weekends in the spring to get her ready for some nice cruising. As soon as I get some good weather, a fresh wash and dry, I'll get some photos up of my second-in-my-lifetime Monte SS. My previous was an 87 aerocoupe/fastback and boy did I regret selling that one when I was younger. I look forward to talking with many of you, and learning from what the long-timers have to offer. I am very happy I found a very informed group of enthusiasts. David update: added photos from a recent show https://montecarloforum.com/forum/album.php?albumid=639 |
Hi David from MA. Welcome to the MCF family. Glad you got a nice T.S. Monte with low miles. Did you get a decent deal?
The CAI is a MUST do, and the next is the U-bend delete in the exhaust pipe, as a minimum. My K&N CAI netted me 2 mpg right off the bat. |
Welcome to the forum man.
