Default Just bought it!
I've always loved the Monte Carlo...bought my first one new in 1972.

I recently bought a 2006 SS, and hope to gain a little knowledge from y'all here at the Forum.

I'm basically a lurker, but am not afraid to ask a question when I don't know the answer!

I've already learned that the 5.3 V8 engine is no slouch...just ask my neighbor with a 2005 Mustang!

Welcome to the forum Barry, good to see your behind the wheel of another Monte Carlo. How far did you get into your 72 Monte? Ever start dumping money into her and making it a Wild Child Monte? Your 06 is a car your going to really enjoy.

Welcome to the forum/family, nice ride you picked up & yes the 5.3 has a little kick. My son wanted one, I told him he could have it once he could afford to replace the tires on a regular schedule.

The '72 was totally stock, and remained that way. I had it three years, and never a problem.

The '06 is another story. Hopefully there will be many mods in her future!
