You've got the 3.4 ChevyRider? If your doing some modding with it then I'm sure you're gonna get a lot of questions. I've seen quite a few people post up asking about mods for them and not many of use know of much so you can be the resident expert.
The intake manifold gasket on the 3.4 is notorious for leaking internally.

I don't think you could go wrong with a 3.8L though, it's been said that they're some of the best engines in the world.

I think I probably will end up with the supercharged model if I get one. I'll probably drop it on a nice suspension, do a custom tail light mod I have in mind, tint, possibly retrofit some projectors in the headlights but definitely HID's (Got them now and love em) and that's about it. If I get a black one, I'm goin to black out the reverse lights. The rest will be performance.
If I have to do some actual body work, I'll most likely shave all the Monte Carlo/SS/etc. stuff off and just leave the bowtie on the back. Just sorta have a sleeper look.

I would like one of these front bumpers though like from the Tony Stewart edition with the open top grille:

that's just a stick-on grille, not a new front bumper

You can have that on any monte, many of the members do!

No its an actual plastic grille, but it just sticks on. The montes dont really have a grill, just a slit in the bumper cover where a normal grill would be.

it's a HIGH-QUALITY sticker. :P

Nah, around the edges it uses 3M (like the decals) and it sticks on.

I got 106,000 on my L67 Intimidator SS. I had 2 Impalas before my '01 Monte SS LE, but wanted the HP potential of the L67, and bought this car off Ebay CHEAP! Awesome SS just got her silver '05 S/C SS the same way, CHEAP. Try to find one from a dealer, and NOT a private individual. Mine was 600 miles away, Amy's was close. Mine was LOW miles (under 5,000), and mint, and Amy is happy with her car, also. Ebay!

Tuning, I drive to ZZPerformance, just over an hour away, and their tune is VERY generic. I just got an HP tuner, but haven't used it yet. LOTS you can do with the L67's to get power, but it's the basics, CAI, colder plugs and t'stat, plog manifold or headers (I'd recommend headers), bigger t'body, spacer, and smaller pulley. There is a pipe in the exhaust called "U-bend" which protects the O2 sensor, and that must go, hense a downpipe or headers. I'm at about 315hp (vs 240 stock), and running out of fuel. Any more mods for me and I MUST put in larger injectors. Pretty easy to get over 300WHP. SO much you can do with the L67.

These are a heavy car, and getting into the 12's isn't easy. 14's stock. For handling you MUST add strut tower braces, at least up front, and lowering springs will help, but I feel my car is low enough stock. This is a full size car, same as the Impala, and getting it to handle like a ricer probably won't happen, but I'm happy with the way my car handles, for being 4,000 lbs.

Why do you say to buy from a dealer?
My dad has got his last 2 used vehicles from dealers and the ABS went screwy after a week on the first one (low mileage Rodeo) and he got a Prelude since he liked mine so much and the wheels (Which are directional) were all on different sides and stuff to hide the fact that 2 of them were warped. It also had a bad oil leak around the oil cooler gasket where the filter goes on. Both "appeared" to be ultra clean though.

I probably will end up hopping in one of these though. If nothing else, cause I like it here. I've been reading a good bit and haven't seen the first instance of flaming or anything and a lot of resourceful info. You guys are pretty chill.
