Hi, my name is Darin, new to the group. Just thought I would stop in and say HI to everybody. I'm a handicapped person, have been for a long time now. I used to have a 99' Grand Prix until 7 months ago when I got T-Boned by some gal texting while driving and turned my car into an L-shaped pile of junk.


So I bought this Monte about 6 months ago after I got out of the hospital. I thought this would be a good place to come to find some answers about my car since I don't know that much about the Monte Carlo. I'm in the computer field by trade. But I really like this car!! So far it's been a good car, just put a battery in because it was old.


I'm sure I'll be posting questions as some problems come up with the car. Thanks for all the help you people give! It is appreciated!

Tough break having to take a hit by an inattentive driver. Least you are not in a box from it. The GP did its job protecting you!!!

You should really like your Monte, great handling, long doors for ease of access. Ask away...

 

Hi, Thanks, yeah the old Grand Prix did the job in keeping me safe, gave it's life for me lol. She almost flipped me over, went up on the side, but then came back down, lucky. I thought it was going all the way over and I was going to be stuck upside down.


The car I have now is a 2001 Monte Carlo SS, with EVERTHING in it, black inside and out. So far the car is running ok, hope it stays that way.

Black is my favorite color for the Monte Carlo.....not sure why
