Getting ready to Enjoy meeting other Monte Owner/Lovers
Hello all,
My name is Elizabeth. I'm 31 and my 2001 Monte Carlo SS is my second car. It's jet black and as a former Chicago resident and current lover of my favorite city it is decked out with Chicago Blackhawks & Chicago Cub license plate covers and magnets. Everyone in town who knows me knows my car. It stands out. While I am not the only Monte owner in my small Midwestern town - I am the only one who has decorated my car in such a way. I have a laugh every time someone tells me they've seen me somewhere (but they didn't actually see me, they saw my Monte.) It also makes finding my car a breeze in large busy parking lots.
So far my car has been a great trooper. We've had a few little scares in traffic but always this car has stood by me. I've seen other people who drive one and I always tell them they have a good, strong and reliable car. (We all laugh at the doors that seem to think we are lunch.) I plan on keeping my baby alive as long as possible.

welcome to the MCF
Hi Elizabeth. Welcome to the Monte Carlo Forum.
Yah, you will find there are a few of us that enjoy decorating our Cars with our favorite teams, no matter what the sport.
That is just what we all do. Like your photo's.
I am sick of the snow and winter too. I finally got to a Car show today that was indoors and they had some nice rides there.
I can't wait till spring arrives maybe 40-45 days from now?
Great photo's by the way, keep them coming. Check out our photo contest when you can.

Welcome! Uh oh, Blackhawks, boooo! Ima pretty die-hard Red Wings fan - Tigers too. Unfortunately both the Wings and Tigers have been average at best for the past several years. Honestly it's a bit weird since I've followed the Wings since the mid-90s and they were always a playoff caliber team until last season - doesn't look like they're going to make it this season either unless a miracle happens. I guess all teams go through ups and downs and it's their turn to be down. Our new arena is nice as hell though!
Nice Monte too, can't go wrong with black. My first car was a yellow 2003 SS. That car got totaled which is how I now have my 06 SS. A year after I bought the 06 I bought a second car to daily drive so the 06 gets stored winters and only sees about 1,000 miles a year. I've only put 31k miles on it in 7.5 years.
Also, feel free to be a part of the members' blog, check it out and say hi > https://montecarloforum.com/forum/of...e2/#post709124
