So i found the monte, yet its an LS, could u guys explain the difference between and LS and SS???

Congrats and welcome to the Forum! LS has a 3400 V6 motor and the SS has a 3800 V6 motor. Now i'll step aside for the guys with better knowledge ! ;O)

If you plan on modding your car - there is more of an abundance of performance parts for the 3800II engine.

The SS (depending on the year) usually has ground effects, a better suspension, better rims, more powerful (and upgradeable) engine, a spoiler, dual exhaust, the gauge cluster is nicer and shows more things, leather heated seats (LS can option that in), sunroof, fog lights...

No - the 3800II is a 3.8L V-6. In 2004 the SS had the optional supercharger, in 05 the SS had the supercharger standard.
