Default First time Monte owner
Hello all. I just got my 1st Monte Carlo on Friday. It is a 2000 SS with the 3800. It only has 60,000 miles on it. I didnt think that is bad at all for a 2000. I traded my 97 Mercury Cougar on it. My Cougar had a 3.8 in it also and let me tell ya, this Monte Carlo with GMs 3.8 would run circles around that Cougar with Fords 3.8. I have owned a park avenue and a lesabre in the past. Both had the 3800 and both had about 180,000 miles on them at the time I got rid of them. So Im hoping that my Monte will live for a long long time.

Welcome to the forum! One of the best things you can do after buying a car, is check out the forum world! It's a great place to get information and meet people with similiar interests. I'm on forums for both my Monte Carlo AND my ROUSH Mustang. It sure helps you come up with great ideas and helps you out with any problems that may arise.

Do you have any modification ideas or are you just gonna drive and drive and drive and drive it....?

Do you have any pictures of your automobile to post?

I forgot to mention that it is black. It is bone stock right now and Ill post pics soon. I think i might start by spraying some nightshades on the taillights and look into a better sounding exhaust.
