My 2007 Monte Carlo air filter box is broken with the K&N filter stuck in it,
I was told by a pep boy it was 500.00 for them to fix it,
I found one online for 50.
I was wondering if a pipe with a cone filter would work?
If anyone has customized one or any other options I would like to here them.

This is the Stock unit in the Car?
You might want to look at the nearest U-pull it salvage yard and see if they have any Monte Carlo's and take it from there. If you just want to replace the stock item.
