Might look good painting the center of the hood from the windshield to the grill Gloss Black also.

It depends on how many layers you spray on. The more layers you put on, the darker it gets. Generally what people do is this. Spray how ever many layers until they reach the desired tint level. Then spray clear coat over top, to protect the tint.

So, not trying to be stupid but, you spray the tint on the inside or outside of the lens? I'm assuming the outside or you wouldn't have to clear coat, right?

One other question, can you do this to the tail lights too? It looks like the ones on the Dale Jr. car are a lot darker than mine.

The tail lights on the Dale Jr are the same darkness as yours. Trust me, I know. I have one. Many people here have tinted their tail lights too. And yes, spray the outside. You can spray the inside. But the clear lens can be a pain to get apart. It's not simply silicone holding it.
