Xfinity Picks/Daytona/Saturday
Back to racing this week at Daytona.
16 Ryan Reed 22 Logano 33 Austin Dillon I thought real hard about picking the 9 along with the 7, but every time I do that they both wreck. EDIT: Changed my picks up a bit. I have a nagging feeling about the 7. Watch this bite me in the butt |
Well, thanks for leavin' Chase out of it! I probably won't tho...

I find the talent to draw from this race harder to pick from than the usual Xfinity race. Austin has been strong this year, as has Erik Jones. David Ragan is great at Daytona (and Talladega) and you don't usually see him in an Xfinity ride, let alone a great ride like the #20. I can't pass him up - especially when no one else took him. I'll cheer Bubba to a win, but I'm not going to pick him anymore. Of course, Joey and Kahne will be strong. Ty has been a model of consistency. Y'know that I'm gonna pick Chase. I think those are the players. Suarez, Scott and Elliott Sadler are too clumsy to bank on and I still think Buescher is an a**hole for dumping he team mate while he was trying to save fuel and not apologizing for it a few weeks ago. I kinda wish I had a gun so I could go shoot some pick Cowboy Duane style...

They aren't acting like it on tv, but I don't think the rain is letting up tonight. They are talking like the race will begin soon. I guess they are just trying to hang onto viewers.
Anyways, 1. Chase Elliott 2. David Ragan 3. Kasey Kahne final answer |
NASCAR is horribly inconsistent with that "below the yellow line" call. They just let Suarez take the lead from Joey down there and I'm pretty sure Joey only moved up to protect the outside because he was confident that Suarez would have to back off on the inside lane
