Cowboy leads! I call shenanigans!

 

Wow, impressive week. Looks like next race will be big for us. Who would have thought that with 1 to go in the segment that we would have 19 points separating 1st thru 5th. Congrats Lou on your victory.

 

2 weeks to figure out who you want for Richmond.... going to be an exciting one for the MCF!!!! I'm a little surprised that Boca and RocknSS lost 1-2... they had been there for 5-6 races I think. Any engine failure, any wreck, any guy who slips in there with a good car, and whoever picked him...that's what it will come down to.... the 9 week segment seems to be working out... guys like Space, zjerry, Monte Carlo 3831, lougreen who missed a race.... some of those guys were starting to get out of touch with the leaders, so it can make things exciting for them once again... but we'll still be keeping up with the overall points, of course. I'm going ot double check everything with the official standings tonight or tomorrow and update the stats thread later.

 

A great Talladega race... I love the two car pack racing. NASCAR seems to want to end it... if they want ot end it, change that bumper... put the front bumper from a 1985 Ford Thunderbird, or a '90 Lumina on these cars... they won't bump draft anymore. Just make the front bumper wedge shaped and the "problem" will be solved. Not hard to figure out, NASCAR... I'm available, and will be graduating from college next year.... with a degree in history... I've worked on cars, and I've studied NASCAR history... and I'd love to make some contributions for you, NASCAR.... I'm here for you if you need me...

I think it's more fair to choose who you want to work with and go with it than it was in the old days with big pack racing and it was more of a matter of who got wrecked, who didn't, and who was lucky enough to have enough cars go with him at the end, there was more back stabbing going on.... it's really more fair to the drivers now. Everyone who wants to complain that this isn't real racing anymore, and how it's just a bunch of crap to work with other drivers and bump draft like this and stuff like that (haven't seen any of those people on the MCF ironically enough) ... well, it's been like this for 20 years now.... and as long as they run restricter plates at all, big packs and drafting partners will decide this race. Heck even before restricter plates, sling shot passes and drafting were important factors to winning.... it's just a different style of racing, and I love watching it now...

Stats thread updated. I can't wait for Richmond!!! TWO WEEK WAIT!!! AHHH!
