Intro and Congratulatory Remarks
First off, lets take a look at the points. After the points penalties, we have several drivers who could pull off a Segment 1 win here if they get a good race in.....
Second, we must remember to congratulate that 4th place man in the points for a big win in Kansas last week!

This week in Richmond
This is a fun race, but in recent years, long green runs ahve over taken the track. Plus, Joe Gibbs pretty much calls the shots around here. Dennis Hamlin wants ot be back in the car this week but no word on if he will or not. If he is in, it will be a popular return, since he is from teh Richmond area.
I thin kthe best place to look for this track would be Phoenix. both tracks have similar characteristics.
TOYOTA TEAMS
Joe Gibbs Racing
Kyle Busch seems to always dominate this race in the spring, and Denny comes through in the fall. I think not having Kyle Busch on your team is taking a long shot bet this weekendin, in fact.
Matt Kenseth has been alright at Phoenix and going to Gibbs seems to have been a major shot of adrenaline for that driver.
Then there is the good ol' 11 car...
Michael Waltrip Racing
The best bet in this camp is going to be Clint Bowyer. Bowyer is good at Richmond and ahs won here a few times. I think Bowyer is a guy to look at this week. He also ran 6th at Phoenix and was good at Martinsville
Truex and the 56 and whoever drives the 55, I'm not paying attention to them...
FORD TEAMS
Roush
Carl Edwards dominated this race last year and Edwards was really good at Phoenix, winnign the thing. Edwards has been silently logging decent finishes and got screwed up by a late caution at Kansas, so I look for Edwards to do alright at Richmond. I'm not really sure what Biffle or Stenhouse might do.
Penske
Even after winning a championship, it seems like Penske is just continually getting better as a driver. I don't know if he'll win at Richmond but he'll be challenging in the top 10 for certain.
Joey Logano also knows a litlte bit about what those old Gibbs cars were doing so that should strengthen the Pensek teams at Richmond
Petty
These guys seem to be 1.5 mile drivers, not short track guys. I'm not paying much mind to them.
CHEVROLET TEAMS
Hendrick
Darth Hendrick and the gang proved that you can't count them out at Kansas with a 2nd and 3rd place run. Jimmie Johnosn, however, seems to struggle at Richmond and go a lap down, or dominate the thing.
Jeff Gordon is usually really good at Richmond and ran 2nd here in the fall. Can't count out Jeff, even wit hhis bad luck.
Dale Jr is good at Richmodn... years ago he called this his favorite track. I wonder if that' sstill true.
Kasey Kahen seems like more of a 1.5 mile man but something baout these night races suits his driving style.
Childress
Menard seems ot be the Chidlress man. Harvick is quietly logging 12th-14th place finishes... not enough to win a race on the MCF but could get you a good points day.
Stewart Haas
The only place this team has come close to decent has been short tracks. But I still don't bank on any of these cars to win. They have a lot of catching up to do on the Gen 6 car.
My Picks
Going to lay my money on the Gibbs cars this weekend.... they were good at Martinsville, they're good at Richmond anyway....
1) Kyle Busch
2) Matt Kenseth
3) Carl Edwards
Not too sure about pick #3... just like to think my Ford man can come up there and do good...

I'm starting to think no one reads the run downs... surely someone would have noticed and called me out for my "Darth Hendrick" reference, which I have now made three weeks in a row.

Yes
I read it, I agree, lol.
