Now I just read about this penalty business and that is going to suck for me and anyone else who picked Kyle. If they penalize him more than the race points say he finished 43rd would have given me one point. What if they penalize him 50-75 or more? I will actually be penalized more than if I hadnt pickled a 3rd car. I know Duane set the rules that we get deducted what they get but was this foreseen when the rules were made. I won't cry, just the way the ball rolls. Looks like my point lead won't last long.

 

I don't think they would take more points than he earned in the race. They never have before to my knowledge. Had you picked Clint Bowyer last year at New Hampshire (before we started the Fantasy thing), you would have been better off picking Michael McDowell.

But, the rules are the rules, and I bound myself to them when I somewhat appointed myself the chairman of this thing... and NASCAR hasn't done any penalties since they came up with the new points system. I don't see much more than a 25 point or so penalty coming out of this thing. If they dock him 100 points, I'll be shocked.

 

My thoughts... remember last year at New Hampshire and at Dover, after Childress' cars failed inspection because the rear end geometry was off, Hamlin started talking about how that organization choose to push the tolerances, so they pay the price, no matter what caused the car to be off? And remember him saying his organization and team did not push those tolerances like that?

And after all that trash talk, the hits keep coming for Kyle Busch. First, a speed ticket in Charlotte. Then, a literal hit from Richard Childress. Pocono: his car is illegal. Maybe the poll questions should be more something along the lines of how will Kyle Busch screw up this week.

Penalty was assessed. Kyle Busch get 6 points and a $25,000 fine. So 77gp keeps a one point lead!

So I'd say there's a pretty good question in there for next weeks poll. Was that a fair ruling by NASCAR? Too stiff or too light?
What do it take for Pyle to violate his probation? So far he broken the law speed dangerously, smashed another teams truck post- race and broken rules "detrimental To stock car racing". What is probation in NASCAR?
