It's that time of the year again! The qualifying races are on. Remember, these aren't point races, but we're racing for pride of winning!
Remember, there are two races to pick from.

Barbara got the pole in this & the Daytona 500 thread!
Its seems that the real talent is all in the first Duel. A lot of plugs will be in the second, but that might actually make for a better race. One of them is usually a crashfest, right?

Nice video Duane! The gun didn't sound as cool as they do in the Bond flicks. Needs that sort of "laser-whistle" note that you always hear with the silencer - I didn't hear it. To me it is very laughable that snow like that could shut things down. Those trees are bare! The snow isn't even covering your boots. Dang, I love the south.
The FrontRow Motorsports picks aren't too shabby. But you'll be lucky if Hornish finishes. He's no better than Peblo and he will bare the brunt of my jokes this year. He should be good for a race as short as the Duel, but I'll be very surprised to see him finish the 500

Nobody is discussing qualifying. What did everybody think of the qualifying format of the 500 this year? Seems to be a little controversial. Anyone, other than myself, actually like the format?
