Points, Intro, and Congratulatory Remarks

We're off to Bristol, baby! This used to be my favorite track until 2007 when the SOB's repaved it..... now it's about 3rd or 4th. It produces some great racing, but just not like it did years past.

Congrats to JuniorCar and his new Lite Ford (I renamed it for him, see last thread....) for winning Las Vegas. The two guys who have won 2 out of 3 races lead the points going to Bristol...

CHEVROLET TEAMS

Hendrick

Hendrick seems to be the lead Chevy team. They had their cars running top 10 and nearly won one! And I hate to say it since you all know how I feel about Goonyer... but I think he is the top Hendrick car right now!! He's got a win and 2 seconds! Plus, he's good, although I wouldn't say great, at Bristol. Johnson seems to find bad luck here more times than not... Gordon is great here, but bad luck seems to get him anymore... Kahne is good here too, and Kahne needs a good run.

Childress

Newman has actually proven to be a good fit at Childress and has run well out of the gate. I'ts interesting. Menard is even doing well and he loves Bristol. So so for Dillon I guess...

Stewart-Haas

The only one worth a flying #@& right now is Harvick. And heh ad issues in Vegas. Busch hasn't shown signs of anything.. Stewart is running like crap (no matter what he says, I wonder how that injury is affecting him). Heck, Patrick is the second best SHR car right now.... Keane did well to pick her.

Earnhardt Ganassi

Just "mediocre" right now... mediocre won't win races or cahmpionships. McMurray had some speed in one of those practices at Vegas though.

FORD TEAMS

Penske

Penske is definitely the top Ford team right now. Keselowski and Logano have figured out qualifying, plus they're running well in the races.
I think etiehr is a great pick this week.


Roush

They seem to be behind somewhere... the Pensek group is known to keep secrets and they're on to something.

Edwards is good at Bristol, and Biffle likes the place but has never won here.

Petty

Almirola and Ambrose just aren't great at Bristol.


TOYOTA TEAMS

The Toyota's have been lacking race speed so far. Busch was alright at Vegas, but still. Kenseth was so so, don't know wehre Hamster was.

But Gibbs casrs run well at Bristol.. if they can rebound anywhere, this is it!

The MWR bunch hasn't been the same since htat incident at Richmond.... don't care what they say.
