Some of us did in another topic, but Denny Hamlin did an awesome job at the end. Being able to hold off Gordon those last few laps and especially off turn 4 when Hamlin got loose he was still able to keep it!!!

I picked Gordon, Johnson or Stewart. Gordon was 2nd, Johonson was around 5 or 6. and Stewart was 12th so it was pretty good.

They actually had a very solid 10 ten.

yah, gordon had a long time getting around truex, would have been a lot closer or a different finish if he would have gotten around him sooner, but he didn't catch him till that last lap anyway, but an awesome race and an awesome finish.....i'm still happy with 2nd

i still say this is gordon's year, i'm standing behind that, bet you he has the championship this year consistently in the top 5 or top 10, he only has 2 races' where he's finished out of the top 10

BUT,NASCAR is obviously now a "team sport" now that they all play with the same ball (CoT).

Denny's team did a better job of turning the rachet 1/4 turn at a time.

Denny's team did a better job of adding or subtracting rubber spacers on the springs.

Denny's team did a better job of adding or subtracting a quarter pound of air in the tires.

Denny's team did a better job of not dropping the car off of the jack.

Denny's team did a better job of not leaving an air hose to get run over.

Most of all, Denny's team did the best job of only taking 2 tires on the last stop.

We have to face it,"stock car" racing is not about the driver any more.

It is all about getting a "lucky" set of tires from Goodyear.

Actually, it looked like Carl Edwards had the race won until the team goofed.

And Jeff and Martin Jr. hated their last set of tires, but their cars were much stronger than Denny's.

But I am still happy for Denny! One more lap and Jeff would have won.

Orif Truex only took 2 tires, he would have won.

In hindsight, the crewcheif really won that race. Just my 68 cents, I owe you one.
