I'm getting this thread up a lot earlier this week. I think we only have 4 races left. After this week we won't run again until 1 November And I'm hoping that since Duane won the Cup last week, I'll break through on the Nationwide.

I'm off Friday due to some medical tests I have to get done, so I should be done with that in time to watch the race. Only question is if I'll be coherent enough as I know the whole fasting thing, combined with the nature of the tests being run, are going to leave me exhausted.

I have tickets and had plans to go to this race but they fell thru. May have some tickets here if anyone wants them!

Those tickets come with air fare? It must be so nice to be able to just go to the race or not. The NASCAR race is just down the road. That would be sweet. Even for me to go to MIS is an ordeal (last time I was nearly refused entry to the US with my expired passport - whoops! Border guy was obviously a Jr. fan!)

I got the tickets for free for donating blood. I had planned on staying at a friends house but now he can'th ave me becasue his father and two uncles are staying at what he calls his "hotel" so he said his vacancies were all up.

There is actually a pretty fair chance this race gets run tomorrow morning (Saturday) than tonight. 50-60% chance of rain in the area all night. I would just assume that happens, becuaes I can't make it tonight, but I could get down there tomorrow morning for the race......


Of course, that would mean blowing off the Petty's Garage car show hwere I could get Richard Petty to sign my 1979 Oldsmobile....... and see all these cool classic cars, and maybe include mine in the car show.....
