I'll be there. Its my first NASCAR event and I am very excited to go. Will be there early to get a half-way decent parking spot and to take in the sights. I won't be taking the Tony Stewart Monte though. Too many people up there and I don't want any accidental scratches or damages.
I'm hoping that Stewart gets his first win of the year. |

I'm hoping that Stewart gets his first win of the year. Before my picks, I'd also like to mention how disappointed I am in Danica Patrick right now. Not specifically for her poor performance yesterday (which I missed while I was at work), but for her poor preparation and less-then-mature response to Morgan Sheppard. I read that in the last 4 months she hasn't even watched Nascar! Maybe if she had, she would have known she shouldn't be racing Morgan Sheppard! And she didn't need to bump him after when his spin was clearly unintentional. I'll likely forgive Danica, but I haven't been this disappointed in her since I found out she has a husband (not a lesbian!) Have I told you about my connection with Morgan Sheppard? True story and a good time to tell it. My first Nascar event ever was the Firecracker 400 at Daytona in 1985. So I would have been 10years old. Morgan Sheppard was the driver of the 26 QuakerState car. Me and my friend were in a pet store in a mall right by the track and Morgan Sheppard was in there holding on to his pet koala bear. That right, he has(had) a koala! But he was otherwise just a normal guy in the pet store with a koala - drivers weren't that big of stars back then. Anyways, the koala crapped on the floor and I didn't see this and stepped right in it. Morgan said something to me that I missed. Fresh koala crap really makes a mess. And the winner of that Firecracker 400? Greg Sacks, who will drive the number #88 for Jr. Motorsports next week at Daytona in the NNS race. It was the only win of his career (at that level) and that was my first Nascar race! NewHampshire. Those are good picks 'Space. I don't like to pick the same drivers though. But there one I can't leave behind there... I used to say Tony Stewart was the master of this track, though he only has 2 wins here to show for it, he seldom finishes out of the top 10. He's due to turn things around and I'll pick 'em for third. Kasey and Jeff Gordon have both been hovering around wins and one of 'em has to win soon. But not this week. I'm pickin' Martin! My pick Jimmie to keep him from winning strategy fell apart last week, so lets do this right: 1. Mark Martin 2. Kasey Kahne 3. Tony Stewart 1st caution: Paul Menard (its already hard to believe he started out the season as a Chase factor) # of cautions: 8 First to the garage: Micheal McDowell (most consistent driver of the year) |
