Cup Picks/Pocono/Sunday Afternoon
Don't worry gang... the Summer Snooze Series is almost over..... we're almost to exciting races like Bristol, Darlington (which I will be attending), Watkins Glen, Richmond... (not in that order.)
I guess I'll take a set... 1) Brad Keselowksi 2) Joey Logano 3) Kyle Busch (hey, if you can't beat them...) (did you know Kyle Busch actually started out with Jack Roush? That means that all of the Gibbs cars, minus Hamster, are actually rogue Roush drivers....) http://www.kylebuscharchive.com/reso...kyle-busch.jpg |
Dale Jr
Martin Truex Jr Kevin Harvick |
Dale Jr
Kyle Busch Kurt Busch. Kurt should have won last time. But his brother wasn't on the track either. It wouldn't shock me to see brother v brother action on Sunday. |

I'm listening to it on MRN but I caught a replay of the wreck off a Twitter post.
|
Something let go in the 4. Wow! I did not expect that.
|
9 people picked the 4. He will likely finish 42nd
|
34 and 35 collide.... 17 plows the 9....
What's the deal with all these Fords wrecking each other? Kind of like yesterday when 3 Roush cars were in the same accident and wallace and buescher kept racing each other and colliding. This **** don't make sense |
damn. I felt good about my chanew with goonyer and harvick having issue.
Then the crewman of the year ought to be the Jackman for the 2. He got hit by a car, then hits concrete, then a 35lbs jack hits his chest. AND HE GETS UP AND KEEPS GOING |
Danica Patrick leading laps today!...

Jackman will have some bruises in the morning
|
I figure Jr will recover as long as he stays out from anyone else's mess. Kurt Busch, on the other hand will likely hurt me.
|
Is John Wes Townley out there somewhere? His spirit is certainly in Pocono right now....
|
I spoke too soon about Jr before that spin lol. Guess I should have known. His car does have Windows 10 on it after all...
|
I'm pretty sure half the field just ran out of fuel. And somehow Jr salvaged 4th out of that whole mess. Wow that's just crazy.
|
Aw screw it. I was in the middle of doing the math, I had about 8 of them done, and they keep moving positions! Truex was 12th when the race ended, now he's 20th. Logano was like 12th, they moved him to 19th. So I'm just going to leave this alone and come back to it later. Apparently those guys got penalties due to not being able to read the tach on pit road.
The TV says Busch was 20th but NASCAR.com says 21st. |
I was 1st, 2nd, and 6th with 4 to go.... yet I salvaged 2nd!
So many people picked guys who aparently sped down pit road when thehy were out of gas not knowing their speed. NASCAR rules says if you are issued a penalty in the last laps of hte race, and don't serve it, your are moved to the tail end of hte lap you are on. Therefore, Truex, Logano, Busch were moved to 19th, 20th, and 21st. Many members picked those three drivers and as a result, we all ended up kind of collided together. Several members picked Kurt Busch or Kevin Harvick, and in a nasty turn for the worse, one memebr picekd both of those. However, oen guy steered clear of all and actually 3 in the top 6! St. Louis keeps on dominating the National League and the MCF by having it's own Gerald win Pocono! As for me, another race gets away.... I had 1-2-4 the year it started raining and they all took off into turn 1 on a restart on like lap 96 and all of mine crashed... then it rained out the rest of the race. Results in the stats thread soon. |
Results of the race were the same on tV as on NASCAR.com so I ended up rolling with it and redoing the 8 I had.... wasn't that bad actually. As long as they don't change it again I should be good.
As I have it now, zjerry still wins, but Brent is the new Segment 3 leader, while Carl continues to lead the overall points with zjerry moving into second! |
