From window...to door panel....now car won't start...Please help

My window drivers side window quit working last night, and it went down when i pushed up and was stuck there. I removed the door panel (bright idea for a non-mechanic) and had a hard time getting it back on. All of a sudden the inside warning lights came on, and it dinged like when you turn the ignition key. Now...my car won't start!!! When I turn it over it "ticks", and the lights come on, but it will not start. Does anyone know what I did wrong? Did I damage the electronic system? Is it possible to do that in a door panel? Thank you so much in advance....

Im guessing the battery just ran down?? Not being a smarta$$ but ive accidentally done it, just leaving it on when I work on stuff.

Have you check the battery poles for excessive oxidation or, perhaps, looseness? Also, check the battery cables to make sure they aren't fray or busted. Sometimes the simplest of things are the ones we overlook. Has the car done this before? Have work been done on the car recently where the battery was disconnected?

Sounds to me like the battery.

Try jumping the car, should start and then go for a good drive to let the alternator do its thing. Park it over night, but be ready for maybe having to jump it again. If it starts you should be fine the next morning, but if not you'll just need to replace the battery.
