Hi guys, glad i finally registered for this site. So here is my predicament, i have a 1972 monte that i am trying to register in CA and i need a secondary vin to register it since it is a out of state car. Saved her from VA and am rebuilding her. I have tried googling locations but have came up with nil. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

 

I'm not sure about the older cars, but check in the door jambs for service decals. On my drivers door i have 2 stickers that contain various codes for the car as well as the vin. Also check the trunk too.

 

Yeah the door is lacking any identification of any kind and the trunk is bare. I have heard rumor there is a partial vin under the heater in the firewall.. Cannot confirm, doesnt help the hurricane is making the search a living hell

 

Also check the trunk where the spare tire goes. Might be a tag there.
