Vibe vs V8 Monte? not happy

OK i drove my mom's Vibe the other day and that little thing snapped my neck back when I stepped on the gas....on the MC I have to prresss the accel pedal. Shouldn't a V8 slam you back in your seat? [sm=violin.gif]

You also have to take gearing of the trannyin mind. My monte from a did stop pulls harder than my dads srt8 challenger but top end i have no chance.

Thanks guys, it's a 2005 vibe base model, I HOPE there's not an issue with my monte, but dam that little 4-banger is peppy! I'm pretty sure it's in the gearing, going from a dead stop.

Horsepower to Weight Ratio!
I'm sure the Vibe wants to get off-the-line quick.
But, I imagine it wouldn't be close at the end of a quarter with a V8 Monte.

Don't think thats it.

Monte: 303 hp / 3600 = .08417 HP per pound

Vibe: 170hp / 2800 = 0.0607 HP per pound

Monte for teh win.

I'm going with transmission.

I have a 03 Vibe base and it does have a quick acceleration from stop. Quickly pressing on the pedal it will jump but its doesn't have the top end of a monte or the bottom end for that matter. Its a great car though. I recommended to anyone. It's my wife's but its a great car to travel in.
