Turning Signal

At times when driving, my turn signals decide not to work for short periods of time... any ideas why? Any suggestions?

Could be a few things, the multi-function switch itself, the hazard switch on your dash, or even a problem with a brake light can mess with this.

Most commonly it is your multifunction switch. Sometimes the connection goes bad and you can try to shoot something like WD-40 in there to make clean up some debris, but keep easy on it and hope it doesn't go.

turn signal remedy

next time they don't work just push the 4way hazard switch off to the side or wiggle it. don't push it on ,give it a wiggle. mine is the same way. this forum suggested to replace the 4way,but why? just give it a wiggle.

yup...mine has done the same thing before. Just wiggle the hazard switch and it's working again.

It gets old after a while. Mine quits working nearly every time I use my signals now, or doesn't work at all in the first place. Wiggling it sometimes wakes it up, most times not (for me anyway - but I've abused that hazard button out of frustration for 7 months now). Then I have to push it in, which flashes the opposite signal as well, which then defeats the purpose of signaling in the first place! :D No one knows where I'm heading!

The new one will be here this week.
