Trying to find the vent valve, what is that black canister by the filler neck.
I have a 2002 SS. I am trying to find the fuel tank vent valve. I see a black canister right by the filler neck inside the quarter panel. Is that the vent valve, if not am I going to have to drop the gas tank. Thanks for the help. Dave
The black canister you are looking at is the charcoal canister. The vent valve should be under the hood. Mine is right by the front fuel rail but I dont know where they are on the 3800.
