Traction Control Issue

Greetings,

Lately when I go for a drive, the traction control will kick in for no reason (that buzz vibration). It'll do this lots. Sometimes after it happens, I get the three chimes and the fix traction control light shows up on my dash with the ABS light.

Any ideas?

Your sensor is probably bad on one of the wheels. My car is having the same problem but you can still drive the car.

Also check your resivoir for break fluid cause after I did my wheel hubs still on and was just a little low on break fluid

Probably a bad hub but it could also be a bad connection at one of the wheel sensors.

I have nothing useful to contribute to this thread. But I love your avatar picture! Sweet IR shot. How did you get it?

Go to a mechanic (autozone and basic readers can't do ABS codes) and get your ABS code read. It will say which wheel hub is throwing it off.

Thanks for all of the replies. I was wondering why there was no engine light on. I'll likely clean and pry out the electrical connections. How can I tell if the hub is bad or not? Aside from the electrical connections, is there anything else to clean or is the speed sensor a mag pickup?

@ MillerMonteSS: Thanks! I took that using a Flir camera. I am a thermographer (among too many other things). I have a post on here with the engine bay and the heated seat: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/ge...-photos-32742/

Wheel hubs are closed units. If the sensor inside went bad, you have to replace the whole hub.
