Torque values for front hub R&R
 

I read so many posts but my parts will be here soon and I want to be sure. Someday I'll get the service manual.

I know not to use an impact or reuse the bolts.
The three of them get 118 ft lbs and the shaft nut gets 159 ft lbs.

Is this correct?

159 is correct. As for the other 3, my book shows different values depending on what year your car is. 1995 - 60, 1996-1999 - 52, and 2000 and later - 96. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks, I just got this car and haven't acquired a manual yet. I wish I knew some of the cars history. I think someone replaced these with cheap parts.

My 92 bonneville manual shows a similar assembly except that the bolts go the other way and thread into the spindles' softer material. So I'm sure those values would be different.

Now I am debating replacing the driveshafts as precautionary.
?Did they make the bearings go bad?

NEVER use an impact to install hubs. Especially cheap ones... Ive been selling and installing them for over 15 years. If you read the "Notice" paper inside the box, it will tell you not to do so. The "impact" motion will cause the bearings inside to crack or break, and cause premature failure....
