Squealing sound

I have a 2003 Monte Carlo SS. I have had this car since it is brand new and it has been the best car I ever had. I have had very little problems with it, however it just rolled over 224,000 miles. It is starting to leak oil and there has been a squealing sound that gets worse when I accelerate, and seems to be louder when I am turning corners. For many reasons I would like to keep this car and would appreciate any thoughts on what might be going on.

Check your serpentine belt for cracking/glazing. Check the belt tensioner for proper operation. Check power steering fluid level.

Also check your front struts for leaks if you haven't already. As they leak and dry out the put more strain on the power steering. Mine had a squeal all the time and I had to muscle the steering to parallel park. I put new struts in and no more squealing!

I am having this very same issue. Did you ever figure out what was causing this problem???
