Hey all. I just put a new MAF in my 2002 3.4 Monte Carlo a month ago. Last week I put new plugs & wires in. It ran great until this afternoon. My son was driving it. He stopped at an intersection and the car died. He attempted to re-start, but it would not stay running. I arrived, I could get it started by pumping the gas pedal and it would stay running if I kept the idle up above 3K RPM, but as soon as I let my foot off the gas it would quit. Any quick ideas. I don't see any vacuum leaks, connections to the MAP are solid and not cracked. I could detect some light white smoke when revving it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sounds like the MAF.. Unplug it, try to start the car and see if the problem is gone..

Thanks, it does start & run with it disconnected. It ohm'ed it out and looked fine that way, but know that is not definitive. It was an aftermarket MAF and I have been reading that if not OEM, they can be finicky. I appreciate the help!
