Sagging doors on G-body

I have a 1984 Monte Carlo SS that I am currently finishing up a restoration on and I was wondering if installing new bushings in the door hinges is worth my time or should i just buy all new hinges and not worry about it? The doors are sagging bad enough that I had to fix the door jams where the striker was mounted due to the doors not lining up true. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

I was always taught to fix things right the first time so here is my suggestion: New bushings/hinges springs and what not. If it's a restoration, you may as well restore those parts too.

I think you would be better off replacing the bushings.A set of new hinges for your monte will be hard to find, and used ones could end up being just as bad as the ones you have. Rockauto.com sells a bushing kit for your hinges.

when the doors sag that bad most of the time the hole in the hinges are oval shaped instead of being round that was my problem and i just got a set off of a another car that had good hinges and put new pins and bushings in them
