Lower Control arm bushing bad+bad cradle
Well did an oil change on my 2000 monte ss 3.8 and noticed the contol arm bushings have gone bad and cause the contol arms to wear on the engine cradle. Has anyone had this happen before and why? There was no wear about 6000 miles ago that I had noticed. Also what would eb the best way to fix this? Its to the point where I dont think its safe to drive. The drives side has the most wear. If I was just to replace the bushings would it stop it from wearing any more? I know I need to do the engine cradle too soon. Also any idea if I could just have the cradle repaired or make a bracket that fits over the mounts for the control arms? Really thinking of just trading it in and getting something new seeing dealer said a few thousand to fix. Any help would be great.
