So my factory remote starter hasn't worked in a long time, finally decided to try and figure this out...haven't yet...
i have aftermarket fobs (everything else works) but factory ones didn't work either...
no cat
diablew tune (which removed the cat CEL codes)

here's what does happen... hit the lock button, followed by the remote start button, light flahes and horn honks 3 times and that's it.
