question on 87 monte carlo fan clutch and idler

Default question on 87 monte carlo fan clutch and idler

shop says both need to be replaced and i was wondering if it was hard to do bymyself?and if so what would be some directions on how to do it?and also theres many differnt fan clutch that i see and not sure of what one to get per perfromance wise..thanks

get the 7 blade fans found on 87-88 monte carlo ss for best results if you want to stay with the clutch fan i my self went with a electric fan to free up a couple of horses you can also chech out any aftermarket company

if this is on a 87 i would replace the heater core and the lines. it is well worth it if you chose to keep the car for any length of time.
what your talking of doing is a temp fix at best.
they are not fun i will give you that but not to bad either.
good luck and keep us posted on this one .

Might look in to those heater hose i was talkign about also. they would make it nic elooking and also make sure you wont have to do this again till it was nessassary
