PCM question...

Im looking at buying a PCM to have ZZP tune it and so I can drop it in... but I got a few quick q's!

are PCM's year specific? will a 01/02/03/04 LS PCM work in my 01? I see some 2002 PCM's on ebay... I just never know if they would work!

plus, swapping the PCM, its it "plug and play"? Do i need to cut any wires any place and splice the new one in or is everything harnessed?

RE: PCM question...

They may very well be Year specific. When I was dealing with a BoneYard for my Fog Lights, I asked for the price of a PCM and the guy said: "I don't have one for that year car."

Somebody will be along, shortly, with the straight scoop. If they aren't year specific, I'm thinking of picking one up and sending it out for a top-end delete.
