milage has been fine. and the shop i took it to before and the code reader from shop an dthe one i have says its cat and sensors for that code and so did a chevy dealer. that is why i changed the parts.. now it pops up again.

maybe ill have to get a new cat and see what happens.

Tons of cash is the only way to get the OEM quality one.

You can have an exhaust shop verify that the cat is not bad, and just get your PCM tuned to remove the P0420 code (since I run a high-flow cat, I have my code deleted)

I found a site that i can buy a pcm with the code removed.

I had the EXACT same code come up after I had my new exhaust put on. About 9 months later too, no code before. Get yourself an "O2 defouler". I'm almost 100% positive this will fix it.

Just type "O2 defouler" in ebay

It just goes in the same hole as the O2 sensor. Then the O2 sensor plugs into the other end. Think of it as an extender, cause that's all it is

ok i only have maybe 2 inches at most where my sensor is ... ill prob just buy the one u sent me a link to

Yeah, it was a tight fit but it's a lot cheaper than the OEM cat. Just be careful going into driveways and things like that because it does hang down a little lower. I never had a problem.
