oil gauge

how hard is it to change the oil gauge to change im looking at buying a another monte and the car is mint except for a broken oil gauge oh yea its 1 2005 ss supercharged blue with the jeff gordon flames

It might be as simple as changing the pressure sending unit. If not, perhaps it's the stepper motor or a broken wire.

Do you know what the gauge is doing or not doing?

Pointing down is usually just a stepper motor, not a bad job at all.
