New engine for 5th gen Monte

Any suggestions on good high performance v6's for a 5th gen? Wanna get one online but all I can find are used motors.

Get a used L67 Hands down. I wouldn't get a new one anyway. A good used L67 is definitely the best 'performance' engine you can drop in.

Yup, an L67 is the quickest way to getting some performance. Another way to go is to get an L36 and turbocharge it. The turbo can be costly, but you can make 400whp easily with a turbo 3800.

I'm with these guys - boosted 3800 hands down.

I'm gonna say the supercharged 3800 also. You may be able to pick up a complete donor car on craigslist. GM put them in a bunch of cars. The Grand Prix, bonneville,a few models of buick and of course the 04 and 5 montes.

Don't get one from a Bonneville. Go with one from a Regal GS or GTP.

get this one

Don't get that one. ^

It is well documented that a STOCK 3800 shortblock is more reliable and can handle 8-9 second quarter mile passes.
