Default Need help with leaky window sweep

Seems like this is an issue for a lot of Monte Carlo owners.
Does anyone have a good way to fix them problem with the outer window sweeps wearing out and letting water into the doors?
I went to a junk yard to find other window sweeps but they don’t look any better than mine.
Is anyone aware of a replacement part for these? Seems like they are discontinued by a lot of manufacturers.

I think they get to much Sun and they deteriorate. You might try the link I have put on here for Steele Rubber they may have something that you could use, these could have been something used on other GM vehicles and you just need to find out the cross reference for it.

Thank you for responding. I checked with them but they don’t have it for the Monte Carlo. I appreciate your help though!

Have you tried the local glass companies they would need to keep something on hand for that purpose if you would have to have a side window replaced that would be something they would need to keep on hand.

I will keep that in mind. I just ordered something from eBay-hopefully this does the trick.
Thank you

You can buy the original parts, but they are dear to say the least. I bought some for my '01.
Also check to make sure the tiny drain holes in the bottom of the doors are cleared out while you're checking such things. A toothpick will clear them out.

I used harbor freight plastic soldering irong welder and welded some plastic onto the door exterior plastic where meets the window carefully. The foam sweeps looked ok. It slowed the leak down a lot, but it looks like crap. Wasnt worth expense to me or availability of parts. Drain hole in door was also clogged and parked it wrong way on hill so door wasnt draing. If thats the same issue.
