Default NAV CDs?

Hello all, I just bought an aftermarket Head Unit for my car that did not include navigation. However I was wondering if anyone knows if they make an NAV DVD's that would work with a touch screen radio, OR! how the GM Nav Cd works.

Default RE: NAV CDs?

The CD's typically have tables and tables that reference from ur location, to a map, then load it on the screen. Very basic functions, limited amount of hot-spots ( food place here, gas place here, raunchy topless steak-house here)

I'd rather spend the money on something brand name that's gonna have backups for awhile. I mean even the ones that are driven by cd's have to be updated so often to keep you from getting lost, and ones that use something easier to optain like SD memory are going to keep more updated.

I mean a common stereo won't have an option where you tell the stereo where you are, even a touchscreen dvd at most would load a map after you input a location, not give directions to inform u of turns n stuff.
