Mystery Plugs?
Okay, just wanted to start off and say I'm new here. I saw a similar question to mine in another thread, but decided to start a new thread due to the big difference in the years of the cars.
Under my hood, I have a whole mess of plugs to the left of my engine. None of which are connected to anything, which leads me to my question(s). 1.) What are these for? 2.) Should they be plugged in somewhere? 3.) Why can't I find anything about them in my Haynes Manual? The car is an 81 MC 3.8L Any input on this i greatly appreciated. I'm trying to figure this out on my own, because I do not have the time or money to take it somewhere to be looked at. Thank you. |
Are these plugs the reason my "Seat belt, High Beams etc." lights never come on?

Can you take some pics of the plugs?

On it right now. Have them posted in a few minutes.

You know what, i have no idea. Maybe one of the other 4th Gen owners will be able to help you out.

I am just stumped. Nobody seems to know haha.

They are likely extra plugs for optional equipment your vehicle did not come equipped with.

first pic :The green one is for setting the carb, and the other one looks like the smog pump valve plug.
second pic: looks like the plug for a power antenna. and more smog pump plugs. HTH |
