Multifunction switch

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo LS.

I just replaced the multifunction switch due to no low beams. Immediately after I installed it, everything worked fine. Now my high beams won't stay on, they just flash when I pull the switch.

Any suggestions on what the problem is now?

Bad multifunction switch. TO turn the high beams on, it has to "click" and internally locks them on. Since they go on when you pull the switch, I bet they stay on as long as you hold the switch.... That tells you the circuit works. The only thing in that circuit left to fail is the switch itself.

I'd exchange the part.

yup i agree thats what my switch was doing i was able to flash the high beams but they wouldnt stay off....eventually it will fail again...i got a good ac delco one off ebay for 70 bucks...still working good, and im glad to be able to use my fog lights again...hope this info helps
