i thaught the 3.1 had a chain instead of the belt like the 3.4l ?

I have givin up. I don't have the time on my hands to check everything. It now wont even barley run. Its just dies when you give it gas. I drilled a little hole in the cat an still wont do nothing.

it could be a pcm or coil pack problem go with the coil packs and fuel filter if it still runns like it is. could be spark or power controll unit

^ good point. Did you check the fuel pressure?
