I have been known to get some parts from a cutlass and a regal.

Thats exactly what i was talking about. There are 3 cables that attach to the back... i think they open vents.( not sure though ) and the idiot i bought the car from pulled the stereo and cut everything, so i was wondering what other GM's would have the same controls ? And since i have to replace the cables and wires i was curious if i could put newer controls from a newer car in as well ?

I don't know if newer controls will work or not. Other vehicles with the same set up would be regal, cutlass, grand national, and el camino of around the same year.
I ended up not getting out to the car last night when there was enough light. I will get up under my dash tonight and see what is stuffed up in there with all the wires.
You could browse google for info on upgrading to newer controls.

I had an 85 Monte Carlo and the Cable control works with the Slide lever on the box. Sometimes you here the Vacuum opening the system.
The Newer ones are electronic and you might be able to adapt them?????? But it will take some doing.
