Monte cut of while driving with power!!

I was driving down the street and hit a pretty good size pot hole. All of a sudden, I started loosen speed, no acceleration and steering wheel gotten tighten. So, I proceed to pull over (thank goodness no cars where behind me...whew) and when I came to a stop, I started the car back up and i drove off. Now, the mystery is, is that I still had power when the car cutt off (radio on with headlights) and I am trying to figure out why did it cutt off like that. Please, any suggestions guys, I will gladly appreciate it.

could be any amount of things first is your battery still snug and in place, is all your electrical conectors leading to the battery and coil pack clean of debre. second is your pcm and tcm (tranmission controll unit)secure like they should they dont like hard knocks.

Oh the battery was is connected very well. When the car cutt off after hitting that pothole, the "engine" cutt off to where it (radio, headlights, etc.) still was on. Now thats puzzling because you would think that if the car cutt's off like that, EVERYTHING in on the inside and out would have shut off.

did you check all of your fluids and check if there is something binding under neath like axels rack and pinion some thing like that. there is also a sensor that chevy and ford had been putting in ther cars if they get hit hard with a good hit the engin will die. there is a electrical sensor that will shut every thing off quick fast and in a hury. but it would be on the front sub frame. did you also check the fuil cut off switch to see if there was some thing wrong there?
