this may help with the 3.5l spark plugs
Found out with a little help with some people here.
To get to the back three plugs on the 3.5l motor is to remove the coil pack and the bracket. also the altenator because the altinator impeads as in blocks the #1 plug wire and plug. also you may need to pull or raise the motor may be a inch with a jack and a block of wood. or have a freind with you to pull the motor to the front with a dead puller and a really big tree. may have picks on the install if my didgital and computer will like each outher. outher than that the front three were a brease wish the outher three were that easy. |
Yea, if you could post a few pics, that would be awesome....I paid the dealer to change them at 50,000 miles...it was like $250 for just the plugs and install....Although out plugs are expensive since just the OEM plug is an Iridium plug...I think parts alone were $70bucks.
|
And this is why we don't take our cars to the dealers for anything....
Man... I really need to become familiar with my dad's toolbox. Or I have a feeling I'm going to be spending a LOT of money getting this car regular maintenance... |
you paying that much is crazy, esp at 50,000 miles.

the most expencive thing on the plug and wires are the wires. it seemed that no one has them because when you remove the boot from the spark plugs the stock wires has a habit on coming apart. when pulling from the boot all in all the e3 plugs causted me only about may be 35 a little cheaper than the iridiom plugs from ngk. but the e3 plugs are standered iridium any way. plus they have more of a contact surface for the spark. have them in two vehicles a mustang and a silverado z71 also my dads mazda 6 v6 , pertty much sold on them. because i noticed out of the three got a increase in gas milege and better responce just out of just a tune up out of the difference in plugs.
