Loud knock or banging noise in front when turning

I have a 2003 MC SS that only has 62K on it. When you make a sharp or hard turn it makes a loud knock or bang.It doe not make it all the time. It just makes one bang and quits it is not a continuos noise. It does not do it in a straight line. It sounds like it is coming from drivers side. I have jacked the front end up and went underneath and tried to find anything that may be broke or loose . I have pulled and pried on everything in the front end. I have shook the car & wheels back and forth,up and down and front to back and cannot find anything. Any body have this same issue before? Thanks, Joe

hub or axle is my guess. if i had to choose one or the other, i would go with the axle first.

Just a thought. This happened to the Deuce once. Check your Body braces under the hood make Shure that they are tight.

I had that noise on the Deuce (just on a sharp turn) cost me $85.00 to have the dealer tell me the body braces under the hood where loose and tighten them up. Seams that there was too much flex with them being loose. (I had just installed my K&N and had removed one of the braces and did not tighten it up good enough

Finally found time to work on my car this week. After checking everything that was suggested I took the wheels off and found the inner brake pad was broken loose from the metal backing. Hard to tell since the pad was still in there it just wasn't attached and must have been slamming back and forth. Replaced the pads and turned the rotors and have not heard noise since . Thanks for all the advice. Joe
