Ignition Problems in 2000 SS
 

I am reaching out for help, for my brother.

He has a 2000 SS Monte Carlo and two problems.

#1 His traction control decides by itself when it wants to be on. So he slips in the rain all the time now.

#2 His key ignition gets stuck and wont turn all the way off. So his center console is still constantly lit up, and his cd player comes on for no reason.

If anyone could help him out I was sure it was you guys. Its either that or back to the dealer to take our money.

On the ign switch, not much you can do there other than replace it.


On to the traction control, sounds like the TCS is going out. Have you pulled codes on it yet?
