High beam issue

Good Morning. I am having an issue with the high beams on my 2003 SS. They work fine if I pull and hold the multi-function switch, but will not latch on. All other lights work fine. If it is the multi-function switch what is a reliable brand to buy? I had bad luck with an AutoZone switch on another vehicle...it lasted 2 months....??? Thanks.

Definitely the multi function switch, not sure what brand people replace them with but I would assume acdelco or whatever is factory replacement and not the cheap off brand

I agree with turbo. You get what you pay for and this is not a repair that you want to do over because of a cheap failed apart.

OK, thanks for the replies. I've also had problems with NAPA electrical parts. It looks like the correct AC Delco part number is 88964581.

That would be one of the correct numbers. GM Parts Direct also lists P/N 88964580. You might have to call a dealer to see what the difference is. I also see the price is listed at about $425. It's not like me to say this, but at that price I might think about another brand like Standard or Dorman for around $100. Check out RockAuto.com.

The 88964581 does not have the cruise control function at the end of the stick. The 88964580 does.
