I installed Xentec HIDs on mine. It's not too hard and its made alot easier to do because you can take your headlight completely out by removing two clips and unplugging the back connection. Took me an hour. Check out my profile to see how they look!

Not hard really, just unplug your current bulbs and plug in the wiring for the HID setup. Most people here recommend DDM tuning, that's what I have in my 5th gen.

DDM Tuning: HID and LED Lighting

Google around for comparisons. If you want a hint of blue I wouldn't say more than 6000k

35 w 6000k are a pretty good combo.

I no longer have the led strips on my car tho.

Hint of blue? Either go with Xentec 8000k for a very slight hint if noticeable blue, or 10000k for a bluer look. I currently have 8000k for high beams and 6000k for low beams. 6000k is too white. Im changing them to 10000k and high beams to 30000k deep blue so the road signs will light up bright blue <3

You absolutely want the 6000k from DDMTuning if you want just a smidge of blue. Trust me it's perfect. And they have a lifetime warranty!
