HELP PLEASE Electrical problems

My 2001 MC SS has been dead for about 4 months. Nothing electrical on the car works. The battery is fully charged and less than a year old but when i turn the key, nothing happens. No lights, no door chimes, no click, no nothing. I've finally got the money to fix the car but I have no idea what to do to even get it started. Once i get it started i can take it to a garage for a proper mechanic to fiddle with it.

Please help me.

have you started with the simple stuff yet?

just like the power and ground wires? also check the power and ground to the fuse box, they sometimes come loose, in this case they could be corroded or broken causing this issue

I've got a funny feeling if the whole electrical system is out you may have a fried BCM. Did you jump start the car at any point? The BCM controls just about everything electrical in the car...so it's a good possibility it's bad. Definitely follow Trewyn's advice first, because if that's the case, that's a lot cheaper than having the BCM replaced...and of course only a dealership can program a new one, which automatically means high price.

Our whole 2001 Monty went beserk and everything pointed to the BCM. Then one day the key would not turn and I was stuck. Ended up changing out the ignition switch and key cylinder and it is mostly back to normal. Spent $40 at the junk yard vs $200 at the parts store. Took awhile for the security light to stop coming on but finally did stop.
I was having the Trac and ABS problems as well and hunted down all the grounds and cleaned them. That helped as well.
Good Luck
